Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is an American TV chef and ex-teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her distinctive spiky blond locks and pumped up personality, explains simple techniques that anyone can master. The chef Burrell is also a veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She has also learned about Italy's food traditions and its culture and the surrounding geography. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up within New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. The Culinary Institute of America is where she enrolled after earning an English degree and a Communications certificate from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute that I was a student of The Culinary Institute of America she says. I was unable to learn enough, didn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. While in Italy she gained an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian cuisine and its culture. This has had a profound impact on the way she approaches her cuisine. Burrell was a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens children who are facing difficulties. She also serves as a Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation celebrity ambassador where she advocates for children with diabetes and awareness. Burrell is often a guest presenter at conferences, and she travels across the nation in her mentorship job. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she often says that she feels very fortunate to share my passion to others.
